Have you ever prayed that God open a door for you? A door of opportunity, favor, resources, finances and so forth. Just when it seems a door has been made open … BOOM the door shuts. I experienced that very thing a few times last year. For every door that opened one seemed to close. I grew frustrated. I wanted to know why nothing was going as planned. I was praying faithfully and striving to be used by God daily. Yet certain things were still off limits to me. I began to doubt if I could be successful without certain connections in my circle. Let's fast forward to four days ago I submitted an online application. I hesitated to finish the paperwork because I feared possibly being rejected. God quickly began to deal with me, he reminded me of the doors that closed last year in order to better position me for the next level of elevation. The more God seemed to close doors the more I found myself thanking him for his goodness and mercy. God always gave back better than what I lost. I began to understand the importance of putting my trust in God and not the door. I can boldly say I trust the plan God has for me: to prosper (Jeremiah 29:11). I won’t deny it, rejection can hurt and bring confusion. We have to remind ourselves of God’s promises and remember he had a set destiny for our life since we were in our mother's womb. It’s guaranteed that if we let God steer our lives, we will see and feel rivers flowing from us. Yes, getting the offer would be very rewarding but I know the God I serve won’t let me take something he knows I’m not ready to handle. It’s all God’s love and protection. In every test from God I’m learning to trust him more and become patient. The enemy likes to get us impatient so that we move prematurely. The enemy tells us we are ready for the next step when God is saying he still has more he needs from us. Please don’t forfeit your destiny. Pastor Gray said “If the enemy is hitting you with an impatience offer than he sees Jesus in you. You are a threat.” It’s important that we pray making sure every decision we make is part of God’s will for our lives. Don’t move too fast and possibly skip your blessing.
Prayer:
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank you so much for this wonderful day. Thank you for everything you have done and are about to do in my life and around me. Thank you for blessings you have given that weren’t deserved. God I ask that you continue to guide me each and every day. Continue to test me, use me, and position me for your will. May everything I think, say, and do glorify you. When I fall short please convict me and have mercy on my soul. Any opportunity that comes my way I’ll remember to seek you first. And every door that closes I’ll remember to thank you and trust in your plan for my life. God pull on me so that I may hunger after you more and more. Amen.
